On the evening of Thursday, 29 July, the Brethren of Lodge Commonwealth accompanied by their ladies and families attended the quarterly social function at the Saigon Restaurant. The banquet consisted of two entrees and five main courses followed by tea and coffee. The function was again organised by RW Bro Warren Turton to whom we express our sincere appreciation.
Supporting the fraternal visit by Lodge Concord Technology at our regular meeting on Saturday, 1st May, Commonwealth hosted the visiting delegation at the Lanyon Homestead from 10am the following Sunday morning. The Lodge Concord Technology delegation departed soon after lunch on their return journey to Sydney.
The occasion was the Annual Lodge Commonwealth of Australia Dinner hosted this year at the Yowani Country Club on Thursday 22nd of April. The dinner was organised by our ever resourceful Treasurer and Social Committee President, RW Bro. Warren Turton, with I'm sure just a little assistance from Marie Turton.
On the evening of Tuesday, 1 September, Lodge Commonwealth enjoyed a pleasant social dinner at Ming's Chinese Restaurant in Phillip on Canberra's south side. A great time was had by the more than forty brethren, wives, girlfriends and other guests.
On the evening of Tuesday, 5th of May, the Brethren of Lodge Commonwealth accompanied by their ladies and family attended the Embassy Motel to enjoy a wonderful night of fine food, pleasant conversation and entertainment provided by the Special Guest, Mr Mike Carmody, the weather presenter on ABC television.
