Robert was met at the Griffin Centre by a smaller than usual number of brethren - given the proximity to Christmas and New Year this was not surprising with many members away on holidays or spending time with family. Although our numbers were lower than normal we served more meals than had been recorded over recent months. Graeme and Russ quickly adopted their Working Tools of choice and attended to the hot plates, under the supervision of Robert, while Roman and Steven managed the sharp end at the sinks. We were delighted to see Veronica again who has recently been appointed as a Feeding the Needy coordinator. |
On Sunday, January 10, Lodge Commonwealth was scheduled for our first Feeding the Needy for 2010. Our new Senior Warden, W Bro. Robert Guth, who was invested the preceding month at our annual Installation, elected to cook the meals at his home and travel direct to the Griffin Centre.
