Blade anxiously waited a further nine days because the April regular meeting was rescheduled to May 1 to better accommodate the fraternal visit by Lodge Concord Technology, Sydney. Blade was Raised in the presence of a goodly number of Brethren including: a delegation of seven from Lodge Concord Technology led by their WM RW Bro. Clarrie Alexander; W Bro. Ron James, WM Lodge Canberra; W Bro. Allan Carnall, WM Lodge Gowrie; and a number of visitors including one regular FCF to our Lodge namely Bro. Jagjeet Basant, Lodge Capitol. Blade conducted himself admirably and, although managing a number of competing professional and domestic priorities, not to mention a rapidly approaching marriage, was well prepared and an exemplary candidate. RW Bro. Clarrie Alexander and W Bro. Don Hely, both of Lodge Concord Technology, took active roles in Blade's ceremony. Blade's Festive Board was again catered by W Bro. Robert Guth, our SW, assisted by Bro. Nicholas McCaskie, Steward, who served Lasagne supplemented with cake and ice-cream. It was an excellent night and one in which Bro. Mohammed will long remember.

On the evening of Saturday, 1st May, Bro. Blade Mohammed was Raised to the Third Degree. Blade had been expecting this ceremony in November however due to professional commitments, and the pre-existing sequencing of several degree ceremonies, Blade's Raising was postponed to April.
