Bro. Summergreene took his Second Step in the Order at our regular meeting on Thursday, 27 August. However, it was first necessary to provide Rhys with the 1st Tracing Board which he had not previously had an opportunity to receive. The Tracing Board attracted the attendance of five visiting Apprentices from other local Lodges within Canberra.
On Thursday, 26 August, Lodge Commonwealth of Australia hosted the transfer of the District Grand Inspector of Workings (DGIW) Jewel of Office ceremony where upon VW Bro. Peter Bindon ceremoniously transferred the Jewel of District 103 to his successor, VW Bro. Warren Barsley, a member of Lodge Commonwealth of Australia.
On Sunday afternoon, 25 July, a delegation from Lodge Commonwealth of Australia travelled to the residence of Bro. Geoff Calderwood to acknowledge his service to our Order. The WM, on behalf of the Most Worshipful Grand Master and Brethren of Lodge Commonwealth, presented Geoff with his 60 Year Service Jewel.
Thursday, 22 July, will be remembered by Bro Steven Robson as the night that he was Raised by his father-in-law, VW Bro John Donaldson, DGIW 92. Steven was well prepared; his unwavering fortitude, supported by the exemplary work of all participants, resulted in a magnificent ceremony befitting this significant occasion.
On the evening of Thursday, 24 June, Mr Rhys Summergreene was admitted to our ancient and honourable Order. Rhys and partner Laura have attended several recent Lodge events namely our annual dinner, and our social function at Lanyon Homestead. We welcome Rhys and Laura to Lodge Commonwealth.
